APS Education

The Education Committee of the APS of Durham is dedicated to:

▪	Promoting, through community education, the welfare and respect for all animals in Durham County and its environs.
▪	Educating the community on responsible pet care, safety for and around animals
▪	Finding solutions to the pet overpopulation problem, and
▪	Ways to contribute to our organization

Presentations to schools, civic groups, clubs, and churches Request Speaker
Projects with local schools
Programs for children, such as APS Kids' Club
Provision of literature on topics related to the APS, pet care, and animal welfare
Staffing the APS information booth at festivals and other community events
